When sending item for powercoating, please follow these directions:
Step 1: Determine the size of the item to be powdercoated.
- SMALL = items such as inspection covers, blinkers, handle bar clamps, etc.
- MEDIUM = items such as triple trees, rocker covers, wheel hubs, etc.
- LARGE = items such as fork tubes, rims, handle bars, etc.
- X-LARGE = items such as mag wheels, swing arms, body work, etc.
- XX-LARGE = items such as frames.
Step 2: Determine the condition of the item to be powdercoated.
- NEW = bare aluminum in perfect condition or perfect chrome.
- GOOD = bare steel, any cast part or metal with light grease or corrosion.
- FAIR = any metal with rust or oxidation.
- POOR = metal with heavy rust, oxidation, excessive grease or existing powdercoat.
Step 3: Choose the type of powder and color. Exact color names can be found on the Colors page. Avaliable color types are:
- Standard Color
- Specialty Color
- Hi-Tech and Iridescent Color
- Hi-Temp (up to 1,000 degrees)
- Mirror
- Textured
Step 4: Complete the order form listing each item to be powdercoated separately.
NOTES:
- This worksheet serves as an estimate only. The final cost will be determined by GrandStand Designs, LLC at the time all parts listed on this worksheet are received. If there is a cost discrepancy, no work will begin until the owner of the parts is notified and signs off on the corrected worksheet.
